Never before in Singapore, the pollutant standards index (PSI) reached an all-time record-high of 371 at 1pm on June 20 (local time) due to the haze from Indonesia's forest-fires. The air quality is officially considered HAZARDOUS when it's above 300. The air is difficult to breathe with a foul smoke odor, plus it irritates the eyes/throat/nose if one's sensitive.
Farmers continue to slash-and-burn huge plots of peat land and trees, creating massive haze that result from the winds blowing over the entire island. In Indonesia, the PSI is 400 and above if I'm right.
